Until recently, Macroscope was only available through an enterprise license and installed locally within an organization. Macroscope can now be accessed as a shared service requiring no installation. In this mode, Macroscope is accessible through the Internet and secured with an authentication service.

Unlike the Macroscope - Enterprise Version, the "as-a-service" (or simply "online") version is also available through an individual license. As this is a shared instance of Macroscope, customization functionality is not available.
